Sleepy, apparently some senior tech guy turned up for my early morning interview, albeit still within business hours, so I don't get the lack of preparation. So, he turned up without a webcam (possibly because he didn't even manage to change his pajamas or wash himself - I thought then).
Anyway, he disqualified me after about 30 secs, most likely because of my appearance, being a woman, and most importantly being a woman from Central - Eastern Europe, i.e. with a non-British accent.
It was very strange to say the least, because the previous interview with his colleague, the brunet one, had gone very well. His colleague, unlike him, was positive and not racist towards Polish people, professional and paying attention to skills and potential, and not to discrimination.
The funny thing is that I really wanted to work for them for those 40k+ and even if I lacked one small skill, I was extremely very motivated to learn. After two weeks, I found a job in the European Union country for 85,000 euros ( ! :) )
Still, I am failing to understand how it works in the UK that clearly weaker men are in higher and so decision-making positions instead of those who clearly should be in those roles.
