The Tech team interaction was fine, however the HR team was a nightmare. They wanted to see ALL my documents (including my offer letter and salary slips) before even telling me a number they'd be comfortable offering me in terms of salary(nothing in writing just to get a verbal communication for the offer). This reeks of deep mistrust and insecure people, especialy from a people ops team . You are literally the HR team, trust PEOPLE that you are going to hire. Also no stock options. What's the point of working for a small startup, that to a series E startup having been around for more than 13 years and still not a unicorn. I mean if I am taking a bet on you then maybe take on me as well? Were willing to promise things but just not in writing. Overall seemed like a nice company, but just don't trust their employees at all(which could explain the 5 day work from office policy which in turn alienates good people I suppose).
