This interview process was a 3 stage process. Starting with meeting the Director, then a second interview with the Team Manager. We spoke a lot about my reasoning for the change and also a bit about my motives and career ambitions

Transparently I had an interview a while back and at the time I thought all interviews were full of trick questions, cutting people off, and telling them they don't have natural skill to be good at the role. After interviewing at multiple companies, even where I didn't get offers, I have learned that it is possible to be kind throughout the process. It is not for a lack of offer that I had a bad experience but rather because it was a bad experience that made the lack of an offer very mutual. An interview should contain questions about your capabilities, not a gam of "gotcha" where they don't like your answer about where you live for some reason. It was a strange interview and maybe there is a method to the madness, but I can't help but think you can do that without cutting someone off mid-sentence to say that they're not convincing enough to work in the industry. It was overall an unkind process but not for any reason that seemed necessary.

Interview process consisted of 1 phone screen, 1 virtual interview, and 1 in person interview. I received an offer at the conclusion of the in-person interview. I also had an opportunity to meet the team and “shadow” their work at the end of the final interview.
