Later I got an offer, and after an usually long time (for a contract role) got a start date. Two weeks before they sent the contract (Services Agreement). I found this so full of massive legal risks that I refused to sign. eg a) unlimited personal liability for breach of others IP (in and R&D co, this can happen). b) unlimited personal liability for any breach of confidence (inc accidental) that could, in their view "damage their business", c) holding back your first 6 weeks pay as hostage against you doing anything wrong, eg finishing the contract early (and they don't tell you when you can leave...), being sick, not being up to the job etc. and other unpleasant terms. READ THE FINE PRINT, AND BEWARE !
