Applied on 27/10/14, got contact from JPM recruiter on 28 and appointed 29 for first phone interview. Most of questions are technical stuffs and theoretical, things like mvc, viewresult vs actionresult, javascript object syntax, WCF protocol, namepipe and GC garbage collection. I think that I couldn't make it interviewer sastified because code syntax I don't recognized very well. For example, javascript syntax work with object. And some question like does truncate query rebuild index? I couldn't recall it altough I used truncate query for my daily job. Interviewer was calmed and kind. We talked that interview 45mins++ long.
And I got reply from recruiter on the same day that my first interview went fine and appointed for second interview on 3/11/14 and Interviewer from London. This interviewer also kind and most questions are based on technical.
I couldn't answer some questions, unfortunately, most of which are kinda stuffs related to infrastructure and system configuation. As I'm a developer and we got our owned IT Infra team, I couldn't even answer what Operation System run with our servers. I think this gentleman asked about Box/Unboxing and I have no idea at that point of time. I realised what it is after interview, by google it and found out myself ridiculous because I used it most of the time. Our conversation however was quite smooth and it's took about 50mins+ long.
Here are some feedbacks from second interview.
- Different programming language used (cause I answered my current team working with vb.NET)
- Very basic knowledge about application server OS/Configuration
- Limited knowledge on the server side of things as most of the work is carried out by SA
