There was hardly any interview process. Sent in my resume in an application online and was directly scheduled for a technical. I expected to be pitched about the company and see if it is a place where I'd like to work at. Similarly, it gives the company a chance to screen me. This did not happen. I went with it. The next step was a technical interview, with no ice breaker - interviewer went straight into technical questions. So I still don't know what this company is about, but the interviewer already has me doing fizzbuzz type question. Second technical question was hard and could not solve it off the top of my head. I told the interviewer I didnt know how to solve this, so he said 'I have no further questions for you' and hung up. The funny thing is, I googled the problem and found an algorithm to the question within seconds. This interview has been a good example of the broken hiring process of the industry, and they have chosen to do little to fix it.

I interviewed with Insightly for a remote Software Engineer position after being reached out to on LinkedIn. Insightly and the recruiter I worked with were very accommodating throughout my interview experience and I was always able to get my preferred interview dates. It consisted of 5 interviews in total - a technical screening interview, two more technical interviews and two final behavioural rounds. The technical problems given to me were roughly LC medium difficulty, and for the most part, the interviewers were pleasant to work with. I was also asked about system and database design. I actually struggled a bit here due to my inexperience, but I was still able to engage in productive conversation with the help of my interviewers. As for the behavioural rounds, I had two separate interviews with the Director and VP of Engineering, where we had a chat about my experience and my goals. From our conversation, I was very impressed with the leadership and could see myself working there. All in all, I would definitely say I enjoyed the interview process. I ended up receiving a competitive offer package for my location, however, I ended up accepting an offer with another company. Under different circumstances, I probably would have accepted the offer.
