The interview process is flawed. I was very clear from the beginning that I have zero (0) knowledge about data engineering. HR told me they have to consult internally before scheduling a round and guess what this interview was scheduled. They asked me for a time and later rescheduled it to some other time without even calling me. As expected, I wasn’t able to attend the interview. It was rescheduled again and this time I had some official urgencies due to which I cannot attend. Again rescheduled. Now comes the interview round which was scheduled and happened. Guess what would have happened during the interview round, the interviewer was asking 95% questions about data related topics. During the interview itself, I had to repeat myself multiple times that I do not have any knowledge about data engineering. He kept on asking questions about different cloud services available for data engineering and data concepts. During this discussion, this guy (interviewer) said “this is an interview, you cannot ask questions to me”. As per me, an interview is a 2-way discussion.

Intially HR contacted and discussed for a while and planned a 1st technical interview. The interview went for 30 mts with all basic questions in java and hadoop. After a week, second phone interview was setup. Interviewer grilled for more than an hour with lot of technical questions and discussed more on my current project.
