The Interview started off hot, with two interviewers on a video conference. The role is for a niche technology which the recruiter told me they had been trying to source for quite a while prior to my interview with no luck, given that information, the interviewers' demeanor not seem like this company hurting to find my niche skill set at all. The interviewers asked me very not specific questions, and when answered acted quite condescending as if I should have had a more specific answer. Maybe this was due to the language barrier between myself and the interviewers. I was also told by the recruiter, that I would find out the end client during the interview, to help me weigh out my decision. To my amiss, that was not shared - almost as if I didn't deserve to know until I do them a favor by accepting an offer. The interview process was 2X as long as I was told by the recruiter, so I was late to my next meeting. I was not told who I would be doing work for, and the interviewers seemed condescending. Also could not give me an answer on what would happen once the project ended (just said they have many projects and clients) - this was a first stage, unsure If I would continue to a second.

I attended two rounds of interviews that mainly focused on core Java and Spring Boot concepts. The interviewers asked questions on exception handling, Java 8 features such as Streams and Lambda expressions, Spring Boot annotations, REST controllers, SOLID design principles, and SQL join queries. The discussions were mostly based on practical application and understanding of backend development concepts.
