      Entrevista

      A few different steps in this process - the initial stage seeks to understand you competence with different hardware they use in rigging the systems. The in-person tasks were in a group with three others and we had different challenges to test our personalities and our knowledge.

      1. Group Assessment Day The interview process started with a group assessment day, which was well-organized and engaging. The day kicked off with introductions, giving candidates a chance to meet each other and some of the assessors. This was a great way to ease into the process and helped set a collaborative tone for the day. 2. Technical Task (8/10) The technical task was challenging but manageable if you’re comfortable with problem-solving under pressure. We were given a scenario that mimicked a real-life Hawk-Eye system issue, where we had to analyze video data, make quick decisions, and troubleshoot as if we were in a live event setting. The assessors monitored us closely and were clearly looking for attention to detail and the ability to stay calm while analyzing tracking data. 3. Individual Interviews (9/10) After the task, each candidate went through a series of interviews with team members from different departments. This part felt thorough, with questions ranging from technical knowledge to teamwork and problem-solving skills. Interviewers focused on practical experience, asking for examples of when we managed technical challenges under pressure and how we communicated in high-stress environments. They were also very transparent about the job expectations. 4. Presentation (10/10) The final part of the day involved a presentation on a new sports technology project. We were each asked to present our ideas for implementing or improving a specific aspect of sports tech. This part of the assessment seemed aimed at gauging our creativity, understanding of sports technology, and presentation skills. Overall The interview day was well-structured and gave a genuine insight into the skills Hawk-Eye values. The whole process took most of the day, so be prepared for a comprehensive assessment. If you’re detail-oriented, calm under pressure, and passionate about sports tech, this is a great opportunity!

      1. CV & Cover Letter Application 2. Questionnaire 3. Innovation Question 4. Interview Round 5. Technical Assessment 1 - Fairly standard start. Had to submit my CV and a Cover Letter for the position. 2. Once I submitted this I received an email a week or two later asking me to fill out some questions, so that the company had a better idea of who I am. Quite generic, and gave me an opportunity to expand on my CV with past experiences. 3. Along with the questionnaire had to come up with an innovation in sport that could help aid officiating. I presented my idea in my interview. 4. Then had an interview. I was abroad at the time so they conducted this remotely over Skype. 5. Had a remote technical assessment. Given vague instructions on how to use some of their bespoke software and had to complete a task. This was a little tricky, but if you read the instructions properly it makes it a lot easier. Knowledge of IP addresses could come in handy here.
