The first interview was a 90 minute free flowing discussion with the hiring manager in which we got to know each other. I was not asked a single specific question. For the second interview, I was asked to present a go-to-market strategy to a panel.
Even thought they were in possession of my salary expectation, they waited to verify my references before making an offer that was considerably below my expectation. They could have saved a lot of time by reorganising their process.
