Due to COVID everything was handled online, had an initial interview before being introduced to their team in a group interview setting. They ended up actually giving me a verbal offer which I was fully prepared to accept, after a week of following up with them for the written offer they informed me instead that they decided on another candidate. Bit unprofessional in my eyes to offer someone the position, ghost them for a week and then rescind the offer.
