I applied for a general hire position (no specific team), and a recruiter got back to me to schedule a one-hour interview with a hiring manager. The entire hour was packed with questions based on my resume. She didn't even start with the usual “tell me about yourself” — just jumped straight into constant questions about every project I mentioned. She kept responding with things like “But what I asked is...” or “Can you talk more on xx (something trivial)”, making me feel like I never gave the right answer. When it was my turn to ask questions, she said she had no information to share about potential teams, products, or processes because I was a general hire. So, we just ended the conversation. It was a really tiring and frustrating experience.

How did you recruit the participants for this study? How did you ensure inclusiveness and diversity of your participants?
I had a pleasant time interviewing with everyone but unfortunately their team matching processes is terrible. I got matched to 2 different teams and both times the interviewer did not follow the interview format I was informed about.
Since I already passed all of the technical and behavioral interviews, I was told that the team matching interview would be more of a conversation where I can ask more questions about the team. Instead, both times the interviewer asked me technical questions and had me come up with research study plans on the spot. This is not a problem for most interviews but when you’re explicitly told that you will not have to to that, it creates a poor experience

Tenho 12 anos de experiência, entrevista bem difícil, muitos testes e perguntas técnicas. Experiência em código não era mencionada, mas acabou sendo necessária para passar, pois Phyton é algo esperado lá dentro pelo menos em um nível básico de conhecimento.

Hiring assessment - online personality style test, had to complete multiple situation based questions. The amount you get depends on the role, I got ~60. Questions were trying to gauge how you'd manage conflicts in terms of integrity, organization, quality of work, collaboration, etc.
