I had interviewed for 2 different senior positions over a 9 month period in which I got to the final stage on both occasions to be told - only after I had chased them up - that although I was the best candidate the hiring manager has decided to recruit internally. I'm all for internal progression and stretch goals but if I truly was the best candidate, it's a strange decision for Gilead to decide against it on 2 separate occasions.

Series of four interviews; TA-30 mins; Hiring Manager-30 mins with a 1.5 hour panel being the last interview( 3-4 people) before a final with Human Resources. Overall, it was well organized.
