The interview process took 4 weeks approximately, it was devided on the following parts:
- Phone screen: this interview is around 30min, here you'll be talking with the recruiter about your bckground, past experiences, why you're interesting on the company, salary expectations, etc.
- Hiring Manager: Here you'll be talking with your the hiring manager, you'll be talking about your background, past experiences, what you're looking for, I highly recommend you use STAR approach to organize your experience and took 1-2 projects you feel proud of to discuss about them
- First technical interview: you'll be given a 2 coding problems (not leetcode / hackerrank), it more a day to day problem you'll be given to solve, the problem is related to company problems you might face if joining them, first part gonna be implementation, second part gonna be how to improve it (probably without coding at all, gonna be mostly discussion)
- Breadth Interview: This gonna be another technical interview more oriented to your skills, you'll be given a problem challenge where you'll implement a solution then implement if time or discuss if not time bout how to improve it, then a second prt where you'll must system design the problem which was given to you previously.
- Depth interview: This interview you'll need to discuss more about a project you'll feel proud of, this gonn be very technical, decisions you made, the pro / cons, the reasons bout your decisions, how to handle critical decisions, I highly recommend you to uses gain STAR approach to format your experience.
- Director Engineering interview: this is the last interview, if you reached to this interview, congrats you reached to the final one, here again you will discuss about your experience, past role, challenges you faced, this definitely is. behavioral interview, so be prepared for that type of interview.
in total you'll face 6 round of interview at least for a senior role, I highly recommend you preparing yourself with the Tech Interview Handbook resources you'll find online.
Also highly recommend you prepare questions (ones that make sense) on reach round you'll have.
