The entire process took around 2 months, and the recruiter assigned to the position kept contact throughout the process, giving me updates in a timely manner. There was an HR interview, then a technical interview with an engineer, focusing on previous experience and live coding, and finally, the System Design interview, which was the trickiest of all (as expected). For all stages, they provided information on how to prepare beforehand, which is well seen. I was caught a bit off guard, though, when they said I passed and had an offer but the offer was to a different position to which I'd applied. The offer was for their AI residency, and I applied for a Computer Vision role. I did not accept and, fortunately, they didn't give up on me and decided to eventually have another System Design interview now focusing on my specialty which is agentic systems. I felt a lot better this time, and the offer came for me to join on the bench (the place where engineers are until they join a client). In summary, the entire process was very positive with this minor detail that caught me by surprise - I didn't know it was a possibility. All in all, I would definitely recommend Factored to anyone, and although the process is difficult, it is very realistic and I felt like the right skills were being tested.
