Entrevista
I had applied online for this position and I got a call from the company recruiter the following week asking me details about my background. Once that was done, he emailed me a list of technical questions which I had to answer and email back within 30 minutes. They are pretty straight forward if you know your concepts. The following week, I was asked to come over for an in-person interview with the entire team.
Every person who interviewed me was very friendly, professional and had little humour as well. I felt extremely comfortably the whole time. The first person had a technical screening worth 75 minutes or so, after which I was interviewed by two people from the team discussing mostly about my background and work experience. After that I had a brief conversation with the vice-president of the company, who was also very friendly. Overall it was an excellent experience. Every one at F5 Networks handled the whole process with great professionalism, unlike few others I had interviewed for before.

Questions were very detailed. One part was related to networking were quite straight forward if you know your stuff. All the questions pertained to OSI model (L2 to L4), HTTP and SSL. Make sure you know these concepts thoroughly. The other part was all based on Unix and Linux CLI. They were all mostly basic questions and I was able to get through the entire interview process comfortably.

I've applied for NSE1 position at F5. First HR gave a call and asked more personal information, explainthe recruitment process etc. Then the technical screeing online which contained around 50 open questions and given time was 35 minutes. Techical screening included detail of OSI layers, TCP/ UDP Protocols and linux commands. I couldn't answer all question but passed the screening. Second technical screening was via phone. OSI layers and switches, then TCP/UDP protocols, DNS and DHCP, detail of HTTP, detail of SSL ,encryption, linux commands and troubleshooting scenerio. I could answer some questions but most part of linux and some part of networking were missed since I am luck of pratical knowledge. Linux knowledge is quite important skill they expect from candidate in this process and networking knowledge is just basic.

Interview process was extremely well conducted.. 1 pre-screening, 3 technical rounds, then talked to hiring manager, finally had a call with TAC manager then BG check was conducted. Process was well planned and the interviewers were extremely talented in their subjects and technologies they’re working on.

Everything was digital, which was really awkward. Yes it's nice to have 30 seconds to think about your responses, but it's just really informal and shows you don't have time enough for employees from the beginning. It also took them weeks to get back to me and I haven't heard anything back from them, even after emailing them, for over a month. I'm sure their a great company to work for, but I wasn't very impressed by their interviewing process.

They have some very technical questions that definitely show whether or not you know networking.
