The interview process was broken down into several stages. First a phone interview conducted by an Epic employee, then a technical assessment conducted by a 3rd party (online), then an on-site interview, and lastly an informal interview with someone working in the same position (to answer any last questions I might have). There was also a personality assessment that had to be completed before the on-site interview.

The interview was fairly standard. The technical interview does not require any specialized knowledge unless you are applying for a programming position, in which case there is an additional section for coding questions. But even there, you can answer with pseudo-code (though I would recommend using a particular language if possible).

The interview was fairly easy - asked about my education , why I wanted to work there, about myself, the usual. Was offered the technical interview a few hours after my phone interview. The technical interview was pretty difficult - a lot of math, pattern recognition, and faux code to analyze.

Applied directly at a career fair and was then asked to complete a technical exam online. The next step was a pretty informal phone screening, and then I was sent out for an in-person interview.
