EarniIn is possibly one of the WORST companies I have ever interviewed with. They started 11 years ago and they still seem to be operating like a startup with little to no sense of direction or morals. For a company that claims to be "customer focussed" it's shocking to see the negative customer feedback on their Facebook page and the app store reviews. But after meeting their team it's apparent why they operate so poorly. I was interviewing for a senior role and after the third interview, the recruiter just ghosted me. Even after multiple follow-ups, they didn't respond. I understand that people are busy/have personal stuff going on/might be OOO but in that case, please find someone to cover for you or set up an OOO email. I had to escalate to multiple people to finally get a response almost a month later. It was a generic email that they had copy-pasted. Please have the decency to call the candidate if you're going to reject them after wasting their time for months. This entire process was a complete waste of time but I’m glad I dodged a bullet because I don’t want to work for a company that treats candidates and customers so poorly. Multiple reviews share the same sentiment. It's sad that senior employees at Earnin continue to behave this way.

Thank you for bringing up the fact that we did not meet your expectations in the interview process, and for that we are truly sorry. We take your feedback seriously and will be thoroughly reviewing our interview processes and the behavior of our interviewers to identify areas of improvement. Our goal is to ensure that every candidate feels valued and respected throughout their interactions with our company. Rest assured that we will take the necessary steps to prevent such incidents from happening in the future. Once again, thank you for your valuable feedback.

But after meeting their team -- it's apparent why they operate so poorly. My first interview was with a CXO. They arrived late; didn't bother to apologize and were rude and condescending throughout the interview. After the interview, there was silence for ~2 weeks. The recruiter didn’t bother to reach out so I emailed the interviewer. Next, I interviewed with the CEO. Basic interview on my background. Was poker-faced throughout so I couldn't tell if the interview went well or not. After ~10 days, the recruiter followed up to tell me that the CEO was, "very impressed and would like to create a role for me." Next, I spoke to another senior leader who told me that the company lacked structure and the CEO sends mixed messages but that things are improving. This felt more like an informational call leading to an offer and less like an interview. While I appreciated the honesty, it didn’t inspire confidence. Post that meeting, the recruiter just ghosted me. Even after multiple follow-ups, they didn't respond. I understand that people are busy/have personal stuff going on/might be OOO but in that case, please find someone to cover for you or set up an OOO email. It's not that hard. If you have 10+ years of experience and describe yourself as "dynamic," "proactive" and "highly organized," then have the basic courtesy to respond to emails in a timely manner. I had to escalate to multiple people to finally get a response almost a month later. It was a generic email that they had copy-pasted. C’mon! At least have the decency to call the candidate and let the know why. This entire process was a complete waste of time but I’m glad I dodged a bullet because I don’t want to work for a company that treats candidates and customers so poorly.

One of them asked me this question about my previous experience..., "but why did this initiative require so many people?"
