After applying online, the recruiter contacted me for a 30 min screening call. After that, they sent me an assignment to complete within 48 hours and send back to them. The assignment was divided in two part; the first asked me to do some analysis on a dataset they provided and the second one asked me to write some SQL queries. The recruiter said that it would only take "a few hours" but just the first part ended up taking an entire day, partly because of the peculiar format of the data, partly because it was "purposely open ended" and it could be completed in many ways given the overly generic prompt. After sending the assignment they replied after a couple of days saying the the answers were not what they were looking for and gave no additional feedback or explanation

The next day, they scheduled a 1-hour interview consisting of a 30-minute case study and 30-minute SQL round. I spent significant time preparing and felt the interview went well. However, I received a rejection within 15 minutes after the interview ended. Honestly, the process felt discouraging. It almost seemed like the interview was conducted more for internal interviewer training than genuine hiring consideration. If you're interviewing there, I’d suggest treating it mainly as practice and interview experience rather than getting overly invested in the outcome.
