I attended several interview sessions with different Digital Ocean representatives. The recruiter that I worked with kept me up to date with the dates and times of each interview session and what topics we'd discuss. I had an initial phone screen with the recruiter, and then three video chat interviews covering a personality interview and technical assessment. Throughout each step of the interview process, Digital Ocean kept to their provided timelines. If they said they'd let me know by a certain time or date, they met that commitment on time if not earlier. Additionally, speaking with each representative felt more like having a conversation than an interview. Some interviews that I've attended with other companies felt like an interrogation, so the interview process with Digital Ocean was certainly refreshing.

Interviewers were really friendly and encouraged discussion rather than pressurizing. Whole process was smooth and I really liked it compared to other firms. They also were clear about Company values and the role I am expected to play which made things transparent from the beginning.
