Management was good at the time, but there was an internal power struggle going on with a deposed member of Juniper causing all kinds of issues for both the QA organization and company as whole. He was also somebody you had to interview with, very high on himself and it was easy to read that, simply compliment him on how vastly smart he was and you probably would get the job offer.
