Multiple interview stages with hiring manager, a peer, the hiring department head and a stakeholder. During interviews, the interviewer often interrupts your answers without waiting for you to finish, saying that this is how it is going to be like working at Bytedance. Some interviews were also conducted in Mandarin Chinese.
After all the interviews, HR will ask for your past salary history to craft an offer for you. Didn't provide the salary history and got ghosted by HR without further response.

Went through 5 rounds of interviews.
The questions asked are a mix of experience, situational and behavioural questions.
STAR method works well.
What I didn't like was they asked for my payslips before an offer which is very odd and invasive. Especially when it is no longer a requirement to give an offer.
I provided them based on trust and thinking an offer might be coming.
And to my disappointment, it didn't come in the end.
I doubt the role was ever real when I think about it as all their various roles have the same pay range across.
Probably wasting candidates' time to fulfil their objectives.
