This is for an entry level position. A virtual group panel interview with 2 engineers and an engineering manager. 45 minute long interview through WebEx. (similar to zoom and Skype) It was only 1 round. I declined and accepted an offer elsewhere for the same type of position at a different company. The competitor was offering a higher compensation.

1) Why am I interested in structural analysis? 2.) Give us a time when you had to explain a technical subject to a customer. 3.) Explain what the stress strain curve is. 4.) Elaborate what you did in your finite element analysis class during undergrad. What finite element analysis package I am familiar with. What is important when it comes to running an analysis.
HR interview checking if you are somewhat qualified - not too hard. Than interview with hiring manager and lead engineer to see your skills, experience, and fit for team - average difficulty.

Interviewed online by two senior engineers. First self introduction and opportunity to pitch oneself for the job. Then five questions to be answered using the STAR (Situation > Task > Action > Result) format. Not so much knowledge based questions as describing past experiences.
Finally they give you a chance to ask them questions.

Expect questions related to your technical knowledge and expertise in aerospace engineering or relevant field. This could include questions about your experience with aircraft systems, avionics, propulsion, or other specialized areas.
