I applied online. It took about 2-3 weeks to get a phone call. I had to go and take an aptitude test that was online. They were mainly personality questions and questions where you had to figure out the best answer such as, will a potato sink of float in water. After about a day or so I got another call that I had done well and was asked to come in for a 3 hour interview. The interview was block style there were six different people I met with each for 30 minutes. About a week later I was asked to come back in and interview with the lab manager. Two days later I was offered the position. All of the interviewers ask situational questions and loved specific example responses.

It was alright they went above and beyond and asked about personal interest in my resume and asked how I could optimize processes in the workplace this was a very good interview.

Applied online. Received an email about 3 weeks later about an interview. Interview was with 5 people, 3 PhDs, 1 HR, 1 Lab Tech. I was interviewed by 2 people at a time in 30 minutes intervals. Mostly, was questioned about my previous experience and education. Mostly technical rather than behavioral based questions. Was a lengthy process but well formatted and relaxing environment. I am scheduled for a second interview which is a month after first interview. Thus, no offer yet since I am still in the process. BASF is very thorough in their process. My second interview is with 6 people, I assume the same format as before. Great company to work for and potential for growth.
