The overall interview process felt unusually slow, requiring repeated follow-ups with the recruiting team for each round. The technical interview was disappointing. The interviewer appeared fatigued from earlier meetings, which he mentioned, and seemed somewhat preoccupied. He began asking questions immediately without introducing himself or setting context.
I attempted to think aloud while approaching the problem, but this was interpreted negatively, and the interviewer appeared rushed to conclude the session. The interview ended approximately 20 minutes early, without allowing sufficient time to complete the solution.
Additionally, the interviewer did not appear to have a strong understanding of databases, despite the problem being focused on data modeling. For example, he did not seem aware that most databases index the primary key by default—an elementary concept.
I did not receive a closure email or feedback about the outcome. Instead, I only received a general feedback form for the interview process, so I am assuming I will not be moving forward.
Finally, the role I was interviewing for was removed from the official listings even before my first round with the hiring manager. Overall, the experience felt like a misalignment of expectations.
