As an internal AZ person I agree with those commenting on fake interviews. Even for us internal candidates, it’s well known that line managers appoint “ yes men”, and often the job is already allocated. What they do internally is arrange 4 x45 minute internal interviews with different leaders in the matrix. If you are lined up to take the job, you just tick the boxes. If you are not, they will mess you about & then reject you. Sometimes AZ will just interview an outside candidate too, just to reject them too & not make you feel bad. If you are lined up for a job, you don’t even have to have worked for any length in your current job to be appointed.
