Entrevista
I was contacted by the recruiter after two weeks and had a phone screen. She contacted me again over that weekend (Sunday) to come down the following Tuesday. I was offered to be flown but offered to drive as I live three hours away and expense it. I met with two VPs who were very nice but basically asked the same two STAR questions over and over with slight variation. I received the form rejection email a week later.
My issue with AMEX is that before (and after) I traveled I asked for their preferred expense report format without a response. While onsite, I asked the HR person regarding it as well and was told I would get it from the recruiter. After the rejection, I resorted to sending the recruiter a terse email regarding the expenses. She finally replied that they do not have a policy to reimburse non-employees. Ridiculous! A multi-billion dollar company does this to canidates? You should have told me this before traveling and I would have let you fly me down at your expense. She ignored all further attempts to discuss and I'm now out $275 in mileage and tolls.
