Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. Acudí a una entrevista en Amazon (Bengaluru) en sept 2019
Entrevista
It was screen share using livecode (you can not execute code just type).
So the interview was set, the interviewer was of the same experience as myself, and the lady did not even turn u. I waited for more than half an hour but no one joined the meeting.
I called up the HR, who was very kind and humble, said will get back to me.
After a day or two, i was again asked for another date. This time the Interviewer joined and I was asked to find the smallest and the largest number of an unsorted array.
I used python libraries, list.sort(),and then the 0 index and -1 index would give me the smallest and the largest number in the array.
To my surprise the interviewer said that she does not know python.
I had told the HR before only that I was more proficient in Python, and he assured me that in Amazon they look for OOPS language and it can be anything Python, Java, etc.
So I still tried writing on java. After the interview I tried the same code what ever I have written and i saw that I had syntax issues (which was obvious as I did not know Java) and also my code did not work properly (but the python one worked perfectly)

Ancient- the way the entire interview was handled, the questions asked, and the conversations reminded me of applying for an associate-level position. The interviewer went on to say, "Try to break the code, that's what QA is supposed to do." I agree that it is part of the job, not the entire job.

I had a total of 6 interviews, 3 of which had live coding challenge and behavioral questions associated with my experience. With different members of the company, a bar raiser, members of the team, Hiring Manager, and first technical round with someone to filter your technical programming level. questions about object oriented programming, problem solving, testing, agile. The recruiter was always in contact with me, and sending me guides to prepare me for the interviews. The whole process took almost two months. although i was not selected after reaching the final round of interviews, at least they took the time to give me feedback.
