The Alfac Associates that I have spoken with have all been very nice. The presentation was about thier products, which are great. The classroom training was decent. The biggest drawback is that online training and licensing is on your own. From information that I have received from others there is mostly cold calling on businesses who have received numerous calls from other agents in an undefined area. This is a turnoff to many businesses. A Straight Commission position is very difficult for someone starting out in the business or for someone who has been out of work for a long time. This is made even more difficult by having to purchase your own medical insurance. How does one survive without an income for perhaps months at a time and no sizeable savings to draw upon? The promise of a strictly 9-5 job is a dream if you want to maintain your clients. Other agents I have spoken with say that "client maintenance" is all done on their own time.
Excited but disillusioned

It was a very odd process. They conduct their interviews in groups which I’ve never seen before. Honestly they seem desperate to me which I did not like. It is also all commissioned based with no salary. Very awkward to ask questions since it’s done in a group.
Met with district regional manager, in person interview, business professional attire. typical interview questions (i.e. strengths, weaknesses, how do you communicate with people, etc). Overall, not difficult and this was for an internship.
sat with multiple people going through the process. It was just the info session, but it was informative. invited to go through another round of interviews, but did not proceed.
