I initially was in contact with Aerotek (Burnaby) just as one of their clients who was looking for work. I first met with a recruiter which was pretty straight forward and went well and he suggested a few job openings he was going to put me forward for. A week or so later it was suggested I go to an “open house” they were hosting as they hiring internally. This sounded like a great opportunity. I attended the open house which was very casual, just meeting everyone within the company asking questions, socializing and getting a small presentation on the company. It went quite well. The next stage was a phone interview with a hiring manager based in Calgary. I had to reschedule the interview due to the fact I was working in my current job. The interviewer seemed displeased that I needed to reschedule. The interview went ahead and it was pretty straight forward asking about experience etc etc. from the get go I felt the interviewer disliked me for whatever reason which is fine, you can’t get along with everyone. I knew the phone interview didn’t go well for me. I expected a phone call/email within the next week saying I was wasn’t moving forward. Instead I heard absolutely nothing from no one within the company. The initial recruiter I was in contact with in terms of them helping me find a job stopped getting in contact with me even though that is meant to be their job? Heard nothing for almost 2 months and I am glad they have not contacted me now as I have heard horror stories from past employees about working there. Just to clear this up I’m not sour about not getting a job there I was merely stating the fact that they are so unprofessional it’s beyond a joke. Stay clear!

The interview process was quick. Lasting around 15 minutes. There are several interviews that you will go through. They will do an initial interview with the director. Then you will get scheduled for a follow up. This is where you meet the other recruiters and account managers. They will walk you around the office and have you shadow some of the recruiters.

Average difficulty covering standard interview questions. Phone screen followed by an in-person interview. Phone screen was received quickly after resume submission; in-person was with their head recruiter and then followed by one with their manager.
Phone screening call with the recruiter giving me information about the job, then another virtual call interview more in depth to ask me more questions. The final interview is in person in their office.
