I had an interview experience for a legal position that raised some concerns about alignment and process. The interviewer was based in another country and the role appeared to require working under U.S. law, which had not been clearly communicated beforehand.
During the interview, I was asked to defend technical answers from a prior assessment without prior notice, and while I was accessing the material from my phone, which made it difficult to properly review. The discussion became quite rigid, with limited room for constructive dialogue. Some of my answers, based on Brazilian legal principles and my professional experience, were dismissed without deeper engagement or contextual consideration.
There also seemed to be a mismatch between the expectations of the role and the jurisdictional expertise required. While global collaboration is understandable, legal systems differ significantly, and this distinction did not appear to be fully acknowledged during the conversation.
Overall, the experience felt more like a test under pressure than a balanced evaluation of skills and reasoning. Greater clarity on role requirements and a more open technical exchange would improve the candidate experience.

Pregunta 1
They asked me to justify, in real time, my previous technical questionnaire answers and justify all of then, the manager was emphasizing more regarding warranty clauses in service contracts, specifically why I did not include a fixed warranty period, and to explain how this would be handled and how would I amend the clause, stating that my approach was “incorrect,” without initially clarifying that they expected the answer to be based on a common law framework. As a civil law (Brazil) lawyer, my reasoning was grounded in Brazilian legal principles, and this difference in legal systems was not clearly acknowledged during the discussion.
The interview process consisted of an initial phone call followed by three interviews with different team members. The entire process was very smooth, well organized, and transparent. Communication was clear throughout each stage, and the interviewers were professional.

One of the questions they asked me was about a situation where I identified an opportunity to improve a process. They were interested in understanding how I approach problem-solving, collaboration, and implementing improvements to make workflows more efficient.
Solicité el puesto por otro medio. El proceso duró 2 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en Accenture (Portugal) en may 2025
Entrevista
Very smooth, informal, in depth and friendly approach. The interviewer set a warm tone that eased the conversation and created a wide window of discussion of motivations, career path and objectives.
