      Solicitud

Envié una solicitud electrónica. El proceso duró 4 semanas. Acudí a una entrevista en AT&T (Los Angeles, CA) en dic 2009

      Entrevista

      1. Applied online off a job board. 2. Waited a few weeks then waited a few more for first HR contact/interview. 3. Was sped through the interview process with the team. First with hiring manager via phone, second with various team members in person, third with senior exec. 4. I communicated to them all the way through that I would require a certain salary and they responded all the way through that they were trying to obtain approval. 5. They held me off for 4 weeks while they interviewed cheaper candidates and ended up finding one that was acceptable so they did not make me the offer.

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

My interview with the Senior Exec was the hardest because he seemed to be a very skilled interviewer. They kind where it does not seem like he asked you a question yet you seem to be saying something you were not expecting to reveal about yourself. He also asked me the total Market Cap of my current company.

      Entrevista

The hiring and interview process is usually straightforward at AT&T. All applicants must create a candidate profile and upload their resume on the company's jobs web site. If you know someone or have a network connection within the company, it is to your benefit to EXPLOIT it. Find out who the hiring manager is and get your resume to them. If you are auto-filtered out by HR, a hiring manager will still contact you or ask HR to include you in the applicant pool. Initial contact via phone is made by an HR recruiter. Your HR contact will screen you. If you pass the screening interview, you may then be called by the hiring manager for a preliminary phone interview. Once you pass that hurdle, you can expect a day's worth of in-person interviews with your hiring manager, your potential peers, and one to possibly two levels up within the chain of command. In some cases, hiring managers may have you interview with members of the team that you will lead, if hired. In all cases, focus your interview on what value you bring to the position and how you can contribute to helping the person you are interviewing with. Sell your accomplishments, but do not brag excessively. Interviews are overwhelmingly behavioral and you should answer questions using a STAR (Situation, Task, Action and Result) response. For management candidates it is important to show that you are both strategic and tactical; you must be able to develop a strategic perspective but couple that with the ability to execute on strategy. Lofty strategic thinkers who have a difficult time executing are quickly weeded out.

      Pregunta 1

"You look good on paper. If you were me, why should I hire you for this role? Please give me three examples from your current or past experience that relate directly to this role and tell me how your experiences will bring value to the team and to the company."

      Solicitud

Solicité el puesto a través de un captador. El proceso duró 2 meses. Acudí a una entrevista en AT&T (Dallas, TX) en jul 2013

      Entrevista

Had approximately four phone interviews and five in person interviews. The group is in transition as they are moving marketing jobs from various locations to Dallas. It appears a bit chaotic but could be an opportunity to create something new with a new team.

      Preguntas de entrevista [1]

      Pregunta 1

Most asked question was are you sure you don't mind the commute into the city? Be prepared to work downtown Dallas. Didn't sound like telecommuting was a popular idea. They want you in the office. Face time is key.
