Application: The first step is usually to submit an application, which may include a resume, cover letter, and other materials such as a portfolio or references. Screening: The next step is often a screening process, where the employer reviews the application materials to determine if the candidate meets the basic qualifications for the position. Phone/Video Interview: If the candidate passes the initial screening, the next step may be a phone or video interview. This is usually a brief conversation to get a sense of the candidate's personality, communication skills, and general fit for the role. In-Person Interview: If the candidate performs well in the phone/video interview, the employer may invite them for an in-person interview. This may be a one-on-one interview or a panel interview with multiple interviewers. The purpose of the in-person interview is to dive deeper into the candidate's qualifications, experience, and fit for the company culture. Assessment: Depending on the position, the employer may also administer an assessment, such as a skills test, personality test, or job simulation. Reference Check: After the interviews and assessments, the employer may contact the candidate's references to confirm their qualifications and experience.
