About The Role
The Manager, Learning & Development, Performance Materials builds global capability across the Performance Materials (PM) Business Unit. Based in Barcelona or Milan, this role drives learning excellence that delivers measurable business impact.
What You Will Deliver
Define functional competencies in partnership with subject matter experts, align proficiency levels to job roles, and deploy them consistently across the PM Business Unit
Conduct learning needs analyses and stakeholder interviews to identify and prioritize capability gaps in alignment with the PM Business Unit strategy
Design and develop blended learning programs, online and in-person interventions, and practical tools that drive measurable on-the-job application
Lead end-to-end implementation of learning programs, including workshop facilitation, coordination with local capability champions, and evaluation of learning effectiveness and behavior change
Consult and advise stakeholders on the latest learning and development methodologies and technologies to advance the PM Business Unit strategy
Foster collaboration and shared learning opportunities between PM and other DKSH business units globally
Build and maintain strong partnerships with Fantree Academy and external vendors to ensure quality, relevance, and sustainability of learning services
Administrative duties and coordination tasks as required
What You Bring
Prior experience in the chemicals distribution industry or with specialty chemicals clients is strongly preferred and will be a key differentiator
Strong understanding of end-to-end chemicals distribution operations, commercial workflows, and industry-specific capability needs
Experience in learning and development or functional capability development roles in a multinational organization
Proven expertise in learning needs diagnosis, content creation for both classroom and digital formats, and delivery of in-person and virtual training across multiple markets
Demonstrated track record of implementing complex, cross-regional learning projects
Proficiency in office productivity tools including Power Business Intelligence (Power BI), Azure, Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
Proficiency in instructional design tools such as Elucidat, Captivate, Articulate 360, or similar platforms
Strong appreciation for cultural sensitivities with the ability to operate effectively in international and cross-cultural environments
Fluency in English, both written and spoken; proficiency in one or more European language is preferred
