Senior Accounting Assistant – Facultative Reinsurance

About the Role

We are looking for a meticulous and proactive Senior Accounting Assistant specializing in Facultative Reinsurance to join our finance team in Makati. In this role, you will be the backbone of our reinsurance operations, managing complex financial reconciliations, ensuring regulatory compliance, and maintaining vital relationships with our reinsurers and ceding companies.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Payment Processing & Monitoring: Oversee the processing of payments to Reinsurers and Ceding Companies. You will proactively monitor accounts due within the month, specifically those with Premium Payment Warranty (PPW), and handle accounting tasks for non-proportional treaty accounts.
• Reconciliation & Analysis: Analyze and reconcile Statements of Accounts (S/A) from various Reinsurers, confirming balances and resolving discrepancies promptly.
• Billing & Collections: Manage receivables by monitoring outstanding cash calls and facultative premiums. You will coordinate closely with claims officers to validate calls and ensure all documentation is in order before processing.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare critical reports including monthly Reinsurance Balances’ net positions and specific Insurance Commission (IC) regulatory reports for outward facultative RI.
• Record Management: Maintain organized and updated files of confirmed S/As, official receipts, cash vouchers, and loss advices.

A Bit About You

• Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Accountancy or any finance-related course.
• Experience: Preferably 3–5 years of experience specifically in Reinsurance Accounting.
• Certification: Being a CPA is a significant advantage.
• Communication: Excellent English communication skills (both oral and written) for collaborating with internal stakeholders and external reinsurers.

Job Type: Permanent

Pay: Php55,000.00 - Php60,000.00 per month
