Senior Accountant – Facultative Reinsurance Accounting

As a Senior Accountant – Facultative Reinsurance, you will manage end-to-end accounting for outward facultative reinsurance accounts. You will work closely with reinsurers, ceding companies, and internal claims officers to ensure accurate billing, timely payment processing, and complete financial reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and process payments to reinsurers and ceding companies, with particular attention to accounts with Premium Payment Warranty (PPW) deadlines.
• Oversee accounting tasks for non-proportional treaty accounts in addition to facultative accounts.
• Reconcile and analyze Statements of Accounts (S/A) received from various reinsurers and confirm balances directly with counterparties.
• Prepare monthly reports on Reinsurance Balances' net positionf or management review.
• Receive and process cash calls; coordinate with claims officers to validate documentation and resolve holds.
• Maintain updated records of confirmed S/As, official receipts, cash vouchers, loss advices, and all related reinsurer documents.
• Monitor and follow up on outstanding cash calls and facultative premiums from reinsurers.
• Prepare insurance commission reports and other schedules for outward facultative reinsurance.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Accountancy or a related accounting course.
• 3–5 years of experience in reinsurance accounting, preferably facultative RI.
• CPA license is an advantage but not required.
• Proficient in MS Office(Word, Excel, PowerPoint) including data analysis tools.
• Excellent written and oral English communication skills.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities with high attention to detail.
• Capable of working independently and managing multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• Strong interpersonal skills to collaborate with internal teams and external reinsurance partners.

Pay: Php55,000.00 - Php75,000.00 per month
