Reinsurance Accounting Specialist / Senior Accountant

In this role, you will take ownership of critical financial operations, including premium processing, complex reconciliations, and billing management. No prior insurance experience? No problem. We provide comprehensive, top-tier training to bridge your strong accounting foundation into the dynamic world of reinsurance.

What You’ll Do (Duties & Responsibilities)

• Payment Processing & Monitoring: Monitor and process payments to Reinsurers and Ceding Companies. Track facultative accounts due within the month (with a focus on Premium Payment Warranty) and handle accounting tasks for non-proportional treaty accounts.
• Reconciliation & Analysis: Reconcile and analyze Statements of Accounts (S/A) from various Reinsurers, confirming and settling balances efficiently.
• Billing & Collections Management: Manage the collection of receivables from reinsurers. Oversee cash calls, collaborate with claims officers to resolve documentation roadblocks, and aggressively follow up on outstanding facultative premiums.
• Financial Reporting: Prepare essential monthly reports on Reinsurance Balances' net positions, as well as critical Insurance Commission reports and schedules for outward facultative reinsurance.
• Documentation & Compliance: Maintain meticulously updated files of confirmed S/As, official receipts, cash vouchers, loss advices, and related financial documents.

What We Are Looking For (Qualifications)

• Education & Expertise: A strong, proven foundational knowledge of core accounting principles.
• Experience: 5+ years of professional accounting experience. Prior management or leadership experience is highly preferred, as you will be expected to take ownership of your workflow.
• Technical Savvy: Highly proficient with technology, with a natural ability to quickly learn and navigate new accounting software and digital tools.
• Certification: CPA designation is a strong plus, though not strictly required.
• Industry Background: Open to all industries! Reinsurance or insurance experience is not required; we are fully invested in training the right candidate.

Pay: Php55,000.00 - Php75,000.00 per month
