Job Title: IT Supervisor (ISP)

Job Summary

The IT Supervisor is responsible for overseeing daily IT operations, managing technical teams, and ensuring the reliability, security, and performance of network infrastructure and systems within the ISP. This role bridges technical execution and team leadership.

Key Responsibilities

1. Network & Systems Oversight

  • Supervise the operation and maintenance of ISP network infrastructure (routers, switches, servers, and fiber systems)
  • Ensure high availability and uptime of internet services
  • Monitor network performance and troubleshoot issues proactively
  • Coordinate with NOC (Network Operations Center) for incident management

2. Team Management

  • Lead and supervise IT staff (network engineers, technicians, support staff)
  • Assign tasks, monitor performance, and provide technical guidance
  • Conduct training and skills development for team members
  • Handle scheduling and shift management (especially for 24/7 operations)

3. Technical Support & Escalation

  • Act as escalation point for complex technical issues
  • Oversee resolution of customer-impacting incidents
  • Ensure timely handling of outages and service disruptions

4. Infrastructure & Security

  • Implement and enforce IT policies, procedures, and standards
  • Ensure network security, data protection, and compliance
  • Manage firewalls, VPNs, and access controls
  • Conduct regular system audits and risk assessments

5. Project & Vendor Management

  • Assist in planning and implementing network expansions or upgrades
  • Coordinate with vendors and service providers
  • Evaluate new technologies and tools for ISP operations

6. Reporting & Documentation

  • Prepare reports on network performance, incidents, and KPIs
  • Maintain accurate documentation of systems and processes
  • Analyze trends to improve service quality

Qualifications

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Engineering, Telecommunications, or related field

Experience:

  • 3–5+ years in IT/networking, preferably in an ISP or telecom environment
  • Previous leadership or supervisory experience is a strong advantage

Technical Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of TCP/IP, routing (BGP, OSPF), switching, and VLANs
  • Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Nagios, Zabbix, PRTG)
  • Familiarity with fiber optics, wireless networks, and ISP architecture
  • Understanding of cybersecurity practices

  • Leadership and team management

  • Communication and coordination skills
  • Ability to work under pressure in outage situations

Working Conditions

  • May require shifting schedules or on-call duty
  • Fast-paced environment with critical uptime requirements
  • Occasional field work or site visits

Optional Certifications (Preferred)

  • Cisco certifications (CCNA, CCNP)
  • CompTIA Network+ / Security+
  • ITIL (for service management)

Pay: Php28,000.00 - Php35,000.00 per month

License/Certification:
