What are we looking for?

We're looking for a hands-on DevOps Engineer with a strong focus on infrastructure, security, and containerization. This role is suited for someone who can contribute across both infrastructure and development, and is comfortable working across the full stack in a fast-paced environment. You should have a strong sense of ownership over systems, deployments, security, and overall application performance.

What are you expected to do?

• Design, implement, and maintain scalable and secure AWS infrastructure

• Manage and improve CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or scripted solutions

• Work with containerization tools (Docker or Podman), including image creation and registry management

• Collaborate on backend development using Node.js frameworks (Express.js, Koa, NestJS, or Bun-based libraries)

• Contribute to frontend development using React or Next.js when needed

• Ensure system reliability, security, and performance across environments

• Support day-to-day development and operational tasks as required

You'll be a great fit if:

• You have at least 5 years of hands-on experience with Amazon Web Services (AWS), including EC2, S3, and RDS.

• You are proficient in security controls and cloud monitoring tools such as CloudWatch.

• You have hands-on experience with containerization using Docker.

• You have experience with Kubernetes or are willing to learn.

• You have a solid understanding of full-stack concepts to support smooth application deployment.

• You have managed at least four to five applications end-to-end.

• You have experience implementing Identity and Access Management strategies and understand how to segment projects into private networks or sandbox environments.

• You have experience working with CI/CD pipelines and deployment processes.

• You are familiar with tools such as PM2 for Node.js applications and Docker for modern deployments.

• You are diligent in documenting your work and maintaining clear technical records.

• You are comfortable working with or alongside AI tools and agents.

• You are detail-oriented, proactive, and able to manage multiple systems and environments effectively.

• You are amenable to work Monday to Friday (7:00 AM to 4:00 PM Manila Time).

Please note: This role is remote; however, we require candidates to be based locally in the Philippines. This is to support occasional onsite activities such as team events, client meetings, or equipment handover. Additionally, local residency is necessary for compliance with Philippines labor laws and employment regulations.
