Game on! 🏏 During our CEO & Founder Jett McCandless' visit to our Bangalore office, the team had a chance to unwind through a lively cricket match that perfectly captured the spirit of project44. Our Chicago team stepped out of the office last week for an inspiring field trip to The Belt Railway Company of Chicago—the largest intermediate switching terminal railroad in the U.S 🚂 During the tour, we delved into the operational depths at three key locations: the car shop, locomotive shop, and hump-tower. Each stop offered us profound insights into the complexities and scale of railroad logistics, where over 8,400 rail cars are dispatched daily. The outing, sponsored by the CSCMP - Council of Supply Chain Management Professionals, concluded with a valuable networking session that allowed our team members to deepen their understanding of the significant value project44 provides to customers in this vital industry. A huge thanks to the Belt Railway Company of Chicago for hosting us and to those who attended our very first p44 hashtag FieldTrip. We can't wait for the next one! 🌟

Update on the conflict in the #RedSea: In retaliation to Iran seizing container vessel MSC Aries and the large-scale airstrike earlier this month, on April 19th, Israel carried out a military strike near a military base in Isfahan. The scope of the attack was limited, but there are global concerns of the conflict continuing to escalate. As of now, further rerouting measures have not been taken by carriers, but shipping associations are appealing to the UN for a greater military presence and more protection for vessels in the Middle East. project44 is continuing to closely monitor the situation.
