Exciting news for the future of biomedical research announced today! A Verily-led data and technology consortium made up of DataTecnica LLC, Technome, Sage Bionetworks, the Broad Institute of MIT and Harvard, Vanderbilt University Medical Center, and Northwestern University - The Feinberg School of Medicine, has received a $4.8M initial award from The National Institutes of Health’s Common Fund Venture Program to deliver a data platform powering systems biology research across Accelerating Medicines Partnership® programs. The centralized portal and tools, called SysBio FAIRplex, will enable researchers to analyze multi-modal data from 10+ conditions, advancing understanding of the complex mechanisms of diseases.
Recently, we introduced Verily Lightpath, a chronic care platform that will turn health data into personalized, proactive care to help people with diabetes, obesity and other metabolic conditions live healthier lives. It will be available in early 2026, but you can experience the features and capabilities at HLTH USA. See us in meeting room 2303 for a first-hand look.
We were honored to attend MDSCongress and present results from our recent study on Verily Study Watch-based digital measures that can track physical activity changes in people with early-stage Parkinson's Disease. ▶ Developing composite measures that track physical activity change in people with early-stage Parkinson’s disease using machine learning and wearable sensors https://bit.ly/3Bx2Hoi ▶ Proposed framework to evaluate the ability of digital measures to track early stage Parkinson’s disease progression https://bit.ly/3Yc2j7F
¡Verdad! is Verily’s newest employee resource group (ERG), formed in the last year to connect Hispanic/Latinx Veeps and allies, and to help foster a diverse and inclusive workplace for all. Join us at the International Congress of Parkinson’s Disease and Movement Disorders on Monday, September 30th, where we will present two posters highlighting our recent work on Verily Study Watch-based digital measures that can track physical activity changes in people with early-stage Parkinson’s disease. ➡️ Developing composite measures that track physical activity change in people with early-stage Parkinson’s disease using machine learning and wearable sensors (Abstract #1841) ➡️ Proposed framework to evaluate the ability of digital measures to track early stage Parkinson’s disease progression (Abstract #1851) This research was done in collaboration with Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, Radboud University Medical Center, and University of Pennsylvania Perelman School of Medicine. It was made possible due to data collected from the Personalized Parkinson’s Project, where more than 500 people with Parkinson’s disease wore a Study Watch for over two years.
We are proud to see the Verily Retinal Camera deployed at a diabetes-focused health fair in St. Croix. The Virgin Islands Diabetes Center of Excellence (VIDCOE), an organization committed to improving access to care in underserved populations, used Verily’s camera to provide quality retinal screenings to patients.
We can’t wait to be back at HLTH USA in Las Vegas next month! Our team will share how we’re turning health data into precision health actions. If you’ll be there too, stop by meeting room 2303.
