Celebrating good fortune! Earlier this week, we celebrated the Chinese New Year at our world headquarters in Toledo. Also known as Spring Festival, this Asian holiday occurs on the first new moon after January 21st and lasts for 15 days. This year marks the Year of the Dragon. To commemorate, our Employee Club brought in Chinese food from Jing Chuan for those in the office and shared red envelopes, Feng Shui coins, traditional sweets, and more. #ChineseNewYear #chooseSSOE
Breaking ground in Bryan County: We were honored to attend the Hyundai Mobility Training Center of Georgia’s recent groundbreaking as the provider of architectural, structural engineering, and interior design services. This state-of-the-art, 89,000 SF training facility—a collaboration between Hyundai Motor Group, the Technical College System of Georgia, and Georgia Quick Start—will train the next generation of EV experts and innovators. It will also support the Hyundai Motor Group Metaplant America project, the first dedicated mass-production EV plant in the U.S., and create around 8,000 new jobs. #SSOEsoutheast #WorkforceDevelopment
Our Structural Practice Group recently came together in Atlanta, traveling from their home bases across the U.S., Mexico, and India for our second annual Structural Summit. The event took place across three engaging days of collaboration and connection—discussing best practices, servant leadership and onboarding strategies, exploring the latest in structural technology, automation, AI, and so much more. Because of SSOE’s permanent hybrid work model, we find it’s important to organize in-person events for team development every year. #chooseSSOE
