It's QC Women Wednesday, and this week we're shining a spotlight on Ramally Valencia, our talented Logistics Planner at QC! Ramally has been a key player in the team, tackling challenges with grace and dedication. Her hard work and problem-solving skills are truly exceptional. Logistics Manager, Liliana Baquero, shared, “Ramally is loyal, dedicated and a highly skilled team member who takes pride in whatever task she does. Her work ethic is beyond amazing!” Her most memorable moment at QC so far has been working with a large account that had a dedicated fleet of 35 drivers. Thank you for everything you do, Ramally!
Meet Brandilynne Taylor, Driver Manager and this week’s QC Women Wednesday highlight. Brandilynne's journey began with a helpful nudge from her dad, a seasoned shop mechanic, who introduced her to our Operations team. Despite not having a background in trucking, her dedication and drive have enabled her to become a stellar Driver Manager. Brandilynne tackles complex issues head-on. She thrives on finding solutions for our customers' most challenging dilemmas, and no stress can deter her commitment to excellence. It's all about the people for Brandilynne. Her daily interactions with her hardworking and supportive team make every day at QC a memorable one. Billing Specialist Whittney Robinson shared, "Brandilynne always responds to emails in a timely fashion, her attitude is amazing, she is very friendly in her emails and has brightened up my days just by being kind. Anthony Rios, the ultimate team player at Terminal 121. Originally starting as an affiliate in 2009 and transitioning to a company driver in 2017, Anthony is committed to his dedicated lane. He always goes above and beyond to provide top-notch service for his customer and has a stellar working relationship with his operational team and shop. No matter what challenges come his way, Anthony stays cool, calm, and professional. Plus, he successfully completed the lease purchase program at Quality Carriers! He's not just an IC - he's family at Terminal 121.
Meet Lisa Lewis, Operations System Analyst at QC and this week’s QC Women Wednesday highlight. Lisa served in the Navy for eight years as an electronics technician and transitioned to elementary education. Over the past year, Lisa has absorbed a wealth of knowledge on the nuances of the trucking industry. She's become an indispensable member of our training team, known for the meticulous approach and positive energy she brings each day. Manager of System Development, Brent Lee, shared “Lisa has been a crucial member of the training team. Her attention to detail and positive attitude have helped enhance the team as a whole.” Lisa's passion for her role is evident. Quality Carriers is thrilled to announce that we have received a U.S. Patent for our Domestic Intermodal ISO Tanks! Our design process started with the standard and well proven international tank design. However, this design was not created for the North American market. As a result, we incorporated certain unloading, safety, and operating modifications that optimized performance for the North American market. These modifications were the basis for our receipt of U.S. Patent 11,679,930.
Meet Samantha Moore, Systems & Process Analyst and this week’s QC Women Wednesday highlight. Over six years ago, Samantha started her career at Quality Carriers in Customer Service and shifted to EDI Support, where she spent some time assisting Extended Services. Her role then merged with the Ops Training team, and she now handles a mix of EDI Support, Ops Training, and writing SOPs. Samantha enjoys that there is a new challenge every day where she has been able to grow her skill sets and learn countless new things, oftentimes in ways she never expected. She often has the opportunity to collaborate with industry experts at conferences, during training courses, and at the office, which makes her role rewarding. Samantha’s most memorable moment so far while working at QC revolves around meeting other QC teammates. There are many knowledgeable, helpful, fun people who work at QC, both in the field and at the corporate office. Samantha, thank you for all you do for QC!
