With over 90% of our team members being women, we’re committed to ensuring every woman at N feels supported and empowered, especially through life’s natural transitions, like perimenopause and menopause. In 2021, we introduced a brand-new policy dedicated to menopause. Alongside this, we’ve put practical measures in place, such as flexible breaks, temperature control, and open, stigma-free conversations, to ensure our team feels supported and able to thrive at work. It’s this commitment to care and inclusion that helped us earn recognition as one of the Best Workplaces in the UK for Women (Super Large category) in 2025. 👉 Discover more how we’re supporting women through menopause and building a more inclusive workplace for all.

Happy World Mental Health Day 💚 Today is a powerful reminder that mental health matters, not just in our personal lives, but in our workplaces too. We all experience ups and downs, and sometimes the most meaningful thing we can do is check in with someone, ask how they’re really doing, and genuinely listen. Small moments of care can make a big difference. Creating a supportive team culture isn’t about having all the answers, it’s about holding space for honest conversations, and reminding each other that it’s okay to not be okay. In a world where you can be anything, be kind. 🤍
We’re proud to share that N has been recognised as one of the UK’s Best Workplaces in Education & Training! 🏆 This recognition reflects our commitment to creating not only exceptional early years experiences for children, but also meaningful career pathways for our team. Whether you're passionate about early years education, food, or making things run smoothly behind the scenes, there's an apprenticeship at N Family Club for you. We offer a blend of on-the-job learning and online training, allowing you to earn while you learn and grow your career in a way that works for you. If you have a thirst for learning and a desire to make a real impact, we'd love to hear from you!
We understand that the foundation of a great future lies in the environment we create today for both our team and the children we nurture. We are honoured to share that 86% of our team feel proud to tell others they work here. This reflects the true culture we have built, one grounded in trust and a deep sense of purpose. We believe the true value of any role lies not just in where you work, but in why you do it. Here at N, we’re on a mission to prepare children for this ever-changing, modern world. Being recognised as a Great Place to Work is a powerful reflection of this shared vision. Above all, it’s a celebration of every team member who brings their passion and care into our spaces every single day. Together, we are building something truly meaningful, a community that empowers the next generation.
At N, we are on a mission to rethink early years and create an inspiring environment that offers the best possible start for children. We are incredibly proud that 87% of our team feel a sense of pride when they reflect on what we have achieved together. That pride speaks to the strength of our culture, built on trust, care and a shared commitment to making a meaningful difference. As we continue to prepare children for an ever-changing world, we remain deeply aware that our mission is only possible because of the dedication and passion of our team. That’s why being recognised as a Great Place to Work holds such importance for us. It reflects the environment we strive to create every day.
Welcome to N Buckhurst Hill. Just a stone’s throw from Buckhurst Hill tube station, our newest nursery brings the N experience to a peaceful pocket of Essex. Step inside and you’ll find seven light-filled, state-of-the-art playrooms, each designed to inspire the next generation of learners. These spaces will play host to our N Curriculum, a play-based approach that brings together the best of Montessori and Reggio Emilia. The dedicated atelier offers children a creative sanctuary where messy play and hands-on activities come together to spark imagination and support each child’s individual development. Outside, the beautiful garden has dedicated areas tailored to each stage of development. Whether children are navigating natural terrain or exploring the seed life cycle, they cultivate a deep and lasting connection to the natural world around them. In line with our B Corp impact commitments, the nursery uses energy-efficient heating and cooling with zero gas, creating a sustainable space designed for the future generations. We’re super excited to welcome N Buckhurst Hill to the local community.
This Recycling Awareness Week, we’re reflecting on how small changes can help paint a greener future for the next generation. As a certified B Corp and a zero-waste-to-landfill business, we’re committed to making responsible choices that protect our planet. ♻️ That’s why we’ve partnered with Green Bottoms and Pura on an initiative to recycle one million nappies in 12 months, tackling one of the biggest sources of waste in early years care. Did you know? For every 100 nappies we buy, one is donated to a local food bank to support families in our communities.
We’re part of a growing movement in early years education, one that places fairness and equal opportunity at the core of everything we do. At N, equality isn’t just a conversation, it’s something our team genuinely feels. Across our nurseries, 95% of our team say they’re treated fairly, regardless of gender. It’s voices like Adam’s (one of our brilliant educators) that remind us why this truly matters. That’s why we’re proud to be signatories of the MITEY Charter, actively driving meaningful change. From creating space for more male educators and challenging stereotypes about careers in childcare, we are on a mission to build a culture where every team member feels valued, respected, and truly belongs, regardless of gender.
