Starting as a macroeconomist, Eva Zamshina was inspired to move to New Zealand and make a career change to help with the post-earthquake rebuild in Christchurch. Fast forward 10 years, and she is now a principal digital designer in our building services team. Eva likes to think of building services as a puzzle where pipes, ducts and cable trays must be arranged so that they function seamlessly as a system. Using her BIM knowledge, she coordinates building services design with architecture, structural, seismic and other design strategies to deliver buildings that are comfortable, efficient, safe and sustainable. Jenn has led and contributed to innovative coastal and renewable offshore projects, in locations ranging from Essex in the UK to Belize in Central America, where she oversaw the construction of a subsea cable. "The on-site experience allowed me to see how engineering theory is applied in practice. I gained a deep appreciation for the scale of operations and the complexity of interfaces.
