Congratulations to our Laboratory staff members who were recognized at this year’s American Institute of Aeronautics and Astronautics (AIAA) New England Honors awards ceremony. The ceremony honored those who made significant contributions to the field of aeronautics and astronautics. Award recipients included: 🏆 Bob Shin received the 2025 AIAA New England STEM Award. 🏆 Tyler Boehm and Rhea Senthil Kumar were recognized for significant contributions to the Beaver Works Summer Institute CubeSat Challenge, 2024–2025. 🏆 Luis Alvarez received the 2025 AIAA New England Young Professional Award. 🏆 Osa Osaretin received recognition for service as treasurer of the AIAA New England section.
Dr. Melissa Choi, Director of MIT Lincoln Laboratory, paid a special visit to the Beaver Works Summer Institute at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology's main campus. During this visit, Dr. Choi gave an engaging seminar about Lincoln Laboratory and the exciting research and technology breakthroughs that make transformative solutions possible. The Beaver Works Summer Institute (BWSI) is an innovative STEM program for high school students, hosted by MIT Lincoln Laboratory and MIT School of Engineering. BWSI offers hands-on, project-based courses that challenge students to solve real-world problems in areas like robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, and more.
