At the point where inspired surgeons meet innovative technologies, there is a spark—an opportunity for change. In that spirit, we were proud to introduce the Society of Black Academic Surgeons to da Vinci at last week's hashtag#SBASUCDavis2024. Built from nearly three decades of experience integrating robotics technology with advanced software, da Vinci systems deliver precision, vision, and control. But technology itself doesn't ensure access to minimally invasive care. Access starts with education, mentorship, and collaboration. We’re better, more insightful, and more innovative—together. That’s Intuitive.
At Intuitive, our mission is paramount: enhancing minimally invasive care to help doctors change lives around the world drives everything we do. For our team, that means knowing our work has a meaningful affect—it pushes us to innovate and inspires us to do better every day. We’re excited to share these stories of our curious and driven employees moving our mission forward while having an undeniable impact: https://lnkd.in/eMJ2YPSs #WeAreIntuitive
Last week, amidst the preparations and gathering excitement for Intuitive 360, we brought together thought leaders, innovators, and healthcare professionals at our Asia Executive Forum to discuss the future of robotic surgery in Asia. Executive surgeon leaders from across the region shared their strategies in implementing comprehensive robotic surgery programs and insights into overcoming common challenges. Through knowledge sharing and collaboration with and among our customers, we believe that we all have the potential to advance healthcare through technology. As we gather among this incredible group of leaders, we are inspired by the commonalities of our visions for the future of healthcare and we remain focused on our company mission. Patients first, always. That’s Intuitive.
Transforming the future of healthcare—together. These words are more than just a motto. They’re also a call to action. They reflect our commitment to innovation through collaboration and are the organizing principle of our 9th annual hashtag#Intuitive360—which is now in full swing. This morning, we heard from Henry Charlton, Intuitive SVP and Chief Commercial and Marketing Officer, who shared our nearly 30-year journey of listening, learning, and aligning with healthcare providers. Our first robotic surgery system was borne from insights and collaboration with physicians. Since those early days, we’ve continued to extend our ecosystem to include robust learning pathways, digital intelligence to drive measurement and programmatic value, and our most advanced and integrated system ever: da Vinci 5. Listen. Observe. Learn. Build. That’s Intuitive.
You’re never too young to learn about lung cancer, or the innovative technologies that help enable clinical confidence to get early answers and accelerate lung cancer program impact. Here we are with our friends at Breathe Southern California, as we live that principle. We also brought our Thoracic Oncology Mobile Experience (TOME) along for the ride. TOME is more than just a truck. It’s a purpose-built experience designed to advance the awareness of how Intuitive technologies help get earlier answers for lung cancer patients. Screening for lung cancer is critical. Knowledge is critical. Not just in California, but also across the U.S. That’s why we put TOME on wheels—so we can take our experience where it’s needed. Lung cancer may be the leading cause of cancer deaths worldwide, but we’re striving to change that. Together.
Our Mexicali site recently hosted Semana de la Excelencia—Excellence Week—which celebrated our collective commitment to continuous improvement. What if the technology you work on could one day change your life? That’s exactly what happened to Renata Abramavicus. Before joining Intuitive, Renata’s father underwent a da Vinci surgery that left a lasting impact on her family. Inspired by his recovery, she decided to be a part of the team responsible for this innovative technology. But the story doesn’t stop there. In March 2022, Renata faced her own health challenge—a severe case of endometriosis. As a single mother, her biggest concern was caring for her 10-year-old daughter. Thanks to the da Vinci surgery, she experienced a fast recovery that allowed her to quickly return to the most important job of all: being a mom. Now, as a manager of Commercial Learning at Intuitive’s Atlanta office, Renata is dedicated to overseeing the trainers who teach our Sales team about the technology that touched her life. “’Patients first’ is not just on paper; it’s something I live every day,” Renata shares. Want to be part of a company that makes a real difference? Watch Renata’s story 🎥 and learn more about how you can join our team. ⬇️ https://lnkd.in/e9ixuDDx #WeAreIntuitive
Intuitive is very proud to celebrate Hispanic and Latinx Heritage Month and the incredible contributions of our Hispanic and Latin American employees. The ¡HOLA! (Hispanic Origins and Latinx Advocacy) Employee Resource Group is honoring the diversity that strengthens our capacity for collaboration, innovation, and moving our mission forward with the theme of “together we rise.” Throughout the month, ¡HOLA! is hosting events on Intuitive campuses and the broader community that facilitate new connections, learning, volunteerism, and fun! Events that remind us of what we can do together. “Through unity we can achieve better success,” says Ray Munoz, ¡HOLA! employee development lead. “We can collectively overcome things that seem impossible to accomplish as individuals.” #WeAreIntuitive
Advancing minimally invasive care is about more than innovative technology; it’s also about increasing access. Intuitive was proud to support the Society of Black Academic Surgeons (SBAS) as they hosted their 34th Annual Scientific Meeting. SBAS is dedicated to improving health, advancing science, and fostering careers for African American and other underrepresented minority surgeons. In support of these worthy endeavors, Intuitive offered surgeons attending hashtag#SBASUCDavis2024 opportunities to learn how da Vinci and Ion can help deliver life-enhancing care to their communities. Surgeons test drove da Vinci. They experienced the Ion endoluminal simulator and discovered how we’re transforming lung cancer care. They also explored our training pathways and mentorship opportunities, as we sought to help advance careers and continuously innovate—together.
