Experian launched the global United for Financial Health project to empower vulnerable people to improve their financial health through education and action. We're partnering with non-profit organizations across the globe to deliver tools and resources to help those affected the most. We've already launched our first three partnerships in the U.S. with Operation HOPE, Black Girl Ventures and the NAACP. In the UK, we are delighted to launch a new partnership with the charity National Numeracy. Numeracy is the strongest predictor of a person’s financial literacy and is therefore crucial to their financial health.
Today is International Day of People with Disabilities and we are so proud to share that here in the UK&I we are forming a new employee resource group to drive disability inclusion at Experian. There are 14.1 million people with disabilities in the UK with 19% of working adults having a disability, and barriers to inclusion for disabled people exist everywhere. They reside in minds, in traditions, in buildings and in systems. We have a fantastic opportunity to break down those barriers, remove obstacles and innovate the way we work to create a safe, accessible and inclusive Experian, an Experian that empowers everyone. Faye Bell, Head of HR Delivery, is driving the campaign for disability inclusion at Experian and is forming this network with the aim of helping our business think differently about disability, drive inclusion in everything we do and bring about change. It also aims to connect us with each other to share experiences and build understanding.
We have partnered with Women in Data for WiD Week 2020 2020 has been a year that has significantly impacted us all and the shockwaves are likely to continue to challenge us for some time to come. One of the big disappointments for the data and tech industry is the postponement or cancellation of a number of major events – including the likes of Women in Data which Experian was a proud Gold sponsor of in 2019. Although we are not able to celebrate Women in Data’s flagship event in person this year, we can mark it virtually and Experian are thrilled to be an official partner of the very first WiD Week. This is a fantastic opportunity that will allow us to gather together, support each other, celebrate and learn, while in a safe online environment, driven by content that the Women in Data community needs right now. We are particularly excited to be hosting a session on Tuesday 24 November, which will focus on our support of Girls in Data. Read more by clicking here!

Experian is excited to announce that we're partnering with Black Girl Ventures to increase awareness and support of Black and Brown woman-identifying founders of businesses related to credit, financial wellness and wealth building. #ExperianInnovation
We were really pleased to hear that last week Experian won “Best Diversity and Inclusion Strategy” at the Employee Benefits Awards 2020. According to the judge's feedback, we were able to demonstrate that we consider diversity and inclusion from many angles, delivering across company culture, talent and communications. They were pleased to see us working with external bodies such as Stonewall and the Business Disability Forum. This is a great step forward for Experian UK&I and we are really pleased to see we are making progress towards creating a culture of belonging, where diversity is celebrated, and inclusion embedded across our culture.
We are so pleased to announce our partnership with Operation HOPE, a national nonprofit with goals that align with our own at Experian: to uplift disenfranchised youth and adults from poverty to thriving in a credit ecosystem. Learn more from our global news blog post. #ExperianCares #OperationHOPE
It's a tough time for everyone right now. We as Experian are supporting in any way that we can, whether that be via our products and services or just some of the incredible ways that we have seen our colleagues supporting each other over the past few months. That said, we know that the job market has significantly changed over the past few months, and so we'd just like you to know that we are still hiring and we'd love to hear from you, or from anyone you know who may be looking for their next role. Across the UK in particular we have over 40 live vacancies in November, and we'd love to support anyone looking for their next move into an awesome new role. We also know that job seeking and career opportunities just aren't a priority for some at this time, and whoever you are and whatever your circumstances, we wish you the best and please do take care and stay safe.
