We enjoyed attending the Association for Behavior Analysis International (ABAI) Convention in San Francisco, CA! The event brought together the ABA community, united by a shared commitment to advancing the field. We were excited to highlight the important work being done across our Evergreen programs, exchange ideas, and explore innovative approaches with so many other inspiring leaders in Behavior Analysis. Congratulations to Evergreen’s Dr. Kayla Curran and Jodie Lehman for presenting their research poster, “Acquisition and Maintenance of Targeted Social Skills for Individuals with Autism Spectrum Disorder Domain”. Their work explored whether implementing a structured social skills curriculum.

We had a great time connecting with so many amazing ABA professionals at the MassABA Conference! It was a day full of innovative presentations and meaningful conversations with leaders across the ABA field. We extend our appreciation to Evergreen’s Dr. Joseph Vedora and Dr. John Ward-Horner for their leadership and service as MassABA board members and contributors to the conference committee. Their efforts play an important role in strengthening and advancing the ABA community. We also further recognize Evergreen’s Eric Bosompem for his meaningful contributions as a MassABA student representative, whose perspective and dedication support the growth of emerging professionals in the field.

Our Adult Supports team enjoyed attending the Association of Developmental Disabilities Providers LEAD! 2026 Conference in Springfield, MA. It was a valuable chance to connect with colleagues across the state and dive into new ideas around workforce, technology, policy, and leadership. For our Adult Supports program, these conversations matter. The insights we gained will help us continue supporting adults with developmental disabilities, ensuring our programs reflect their goals, needs, and daily experiences.

It was great to be part of last week’s MAAPS School Fair (Massachusetts Association of Approved Private Schools), an event that brings together professionals involved in special education referral and placement to learn about schools like the Evergreen Center. We enjoyed connecting with educators and partners around supporting students’ independence, daily living skills, and long term success. Thank you to everyone who stopped by to learn more about our Residential School Program and share your stories. Our team was proud to highlight how our program supports students beyond the classroom, helping them build independence and confidence every day!

We were honored to attend the Massachusetts Association of Applied Private Schools (MAAPS) 50th Anniversary of IDEA celebration at the Edward M. Kennedy Institute in Boston, MA. This inspiring event brought together nearly 400 educators, families, advocates, and policymakers to reflect on the incredible progress made since the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act was passed in 1975. For our team, it was a powerful reminder of why we do the work we do every day: ensuring that every student has access to the resources, support, and opportunities they need to thrive. Listening to the voices of families and educators and celebrating the legacy of IDEA reinforced our commitment to advancing inclusive education and advocating for the future of special education. We are proud to stand alongside MAAPS and the special education community in honoring this landmark civil rights law and continuing to build a more equitable educational system for all learners. Pictured: Evergreen CEO Dr. Cliff Cabral with Human Services Management Corporation CEO Dr. Brooke Littleton-Fitzgerald and Associate Vice President of Operations and Compliance, Matt Schwarm.
