"When I was offered the chance to move from Telangana to Columbia, South Carolina to join Damco’s U.S. delivery team, everything happened in a matter of a few days. There wasn’t time to overthink. I packed my essentials, hugged my family, and flew out—with equal parts excitement and anxiety. At the time, I was leading a complex OutSystems implementation for a U.S.-based healthcare client from India. Around the same time, another client in the banking sector needed a local technical lead. With support from my managers and the staffing team, everything came together quickly. It wasn’t a long-anticipated plan—it was a leap. I still remember calling my parents, organizing a quick farewell, and walking into the unknown with just my laptop and faith in what was ahead. What I found here was a whole new rhythm of working — fast-paced, direct, and driven by clarity. Feedback comes in real-time, often mid-conversation. There’s little room for ambiguity, and even less for hand-holding. At first, it was intimidating. But quickly, I realized it was also empowering. Here, you’re not just expected to complete tasks — you’re expected to lead outcomes. To think ahead. To own the impact. And I didn’t have to do it alone.
